When you were a kid, was there that one house in the neighbourhood that everyone was afraid to go near? You just knew the homeowner was evil and possibly stored small children in their garage. In reality, they probably simply were not comfortable with lots of social interaction, so they just kept to themselves. There is certainly nothing wrong with that. Now as an adult, though, you can try not to be that neighbour!
Here are some ways to up your friendliness status in the neighbourhood:
You do not have to be the social butterfly of the neighbourhood, nor do you want to be pushy in getting others to participate. But getting along and looking out for each other is the way to build a sense of community for a strong, safe place to live!
